Role Overview
The Senior Manager – Civil will be responsible for leading and managing end-to-end execution of large-scale infrastructure, EPC, industrial, commercial, and government projects. The role requires expertise in project planning, construction management, budgeting, stakeholder coordination, procurement, quality assurance, and compliance management to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities with experience in handling multi-disciplinary projects involving civil, structural, MEP, electrical, HVAC, ELV, telecom, and data center infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of civil and infrastructure projects.
- Develop project schedules, WBS, resource allocation plans, procurement plans, and execution strategies.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within approved budgets and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to resolve delays and execution bottlenecks.
2. Construction & Site Management
- Supervise all site activities including civil, structural, finishing, utility, and infrastructure works.
- Ensure proper deployment of manpower, machinery, and materials for efficient execution.
- Oversee construction activities related to buildings, industrial structures, PEB structures, precast works, roads, utility systems, and data center infrastructure.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
3. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, subcontractors, and government authorities.
- Manage technical discussions, approvals, and drawing validations.
- Ensure seamless coordination between civil, MEP, electrical, HVAC, ELV, and telecom teams.
4. Cost Control & Budget Management
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability.
- Implement cost optimization measures without compromising quality and timelines.
- Review BOQs, rate analysis, contractor bills, and project expenditures.
- Track project cash flow, billing, and financial progress.
5. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Manage contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
- Evaluate vendor performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and procurement processes.
6. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure implementation of QA/QC procedures, inspection protocols, and quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with HSE, OSHA, statutory, and government regulations.
- Monitor NCR closures, snag rectifications, FAT/SAT, ATP, and inspection processes.
7. Risk Management & Problem Resolution
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Resolve technical, operational, and execution-related issues effectively.
- Ensure smooth project delivery through proactive planning and monitoring.
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and review DPRs, WPRs, MIS reports, progress reports, and project documentation.
- Maintain records related to project execution, billing, contracts, and compliance.
- Conduct review meetings and submit project status updates to management.
9. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor project engineers, site teams, supervisors, and contractors.
- Drive team productivity, accountability, and performance management.
- Build a culture of operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
