Job Summary
Job Description:
Drive supplier issue resolution through structured problem-solving methodologies.Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) implementation with cross-functional teams (CFTs).Develop and execute supplier improvement plans for quality, delivery, cost, and process performance.Support supplier audits, process assessments, and supplier performance evaluations.Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and risk-based approaches.Review manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with engineering and quality requirements.Perform component cost estimation and cost breakdown analysis to identify cost-reduction opportunities.Collaborate with design, sourcing, and suppliers to support should-cost analysis and value engineering initiatives.Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles during supplier engagements.Support New Product Introduction (NPI), qualification, and supplier industrialization activities. Experience Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.10–15 years of total industry experience.Minimum in Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), Supplier Development Engineering (SDE), Manufacturing Engineering, or related roles. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of electrical and electromechanical components: PCBACables & HarnessesConnectorsRelays & SwitchesPower Distribution ComponentsInstrumentation & Control SystemsUtilities and Electrical AssembliesAbility to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, GD&T, and specifications.Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies: PFMEA / DFMEAControl Plans8D Problem SolvingCAPARoot Cause AnalysisSPCMSAComponent Cost Estimation and Should-Cost Analysis.Knowledge of Boothroyd-Dewhurst DFA/DFM methodology.Experience with SEER® by Galorath for cost estimation and manufacturing cost analysis.Familiarity with vacuum electrical accessories/components is an added advantage.Strong supplier audit and process validation experience.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and executive reporting. 5. Problem-solving skills to identify cost optimization opportunities and drive efficiency in cost estimation processes.
Other Requirements
1.Certification in Component Cost Estimation methodologies is a plus.
