Production Operator
Department: Manufacturing / Operations
Location: Suracsh Filters – Kanjikode, Pudussery Central
Reporting to: Shift Supervisor / Production Manager
Job Type: Full-time | Shift-based (Rotational) 8 hours
Job Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery used in the production of filter materials in ACS, pelletizing, and impregnation units. The operator ensures that production targets are met efficiently while maintaining product quality and following safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all shift-based production activities in alignment with the daily/weekly production plans.
- Supervise and guide labourers on the shop floor to maintain productivity, discipline, and compliance with safety norms.
- Handle and operate forklifts for the safe movement of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods within the plant.
- Continuously monitor equipment performance and promptly escalate breakdowns or abnormalities to the maintenance team.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and housekeeping standards at the workplace.
- Maintain shift logs, checklists, incident reports, and production-related documentation with accuracy.
- Coordinate dispatch activities in such a manner that production schedules remain uninterrupted.
- Assist in training new workers on operational routines, machinery usage, and safety practices.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical equipment such as gearboxes, motors, and conveyor belts.
- Coordinate with the quality and maintenance teams to ensure effective communication and smooth shift handovers.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related trade.
- SSLC or Plus Two pass with relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment (filter industry experience preferred).
Skills:
- Ability to operate and understand industrial machinery.
- Basic troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Working Conditions
- Physically fit and comfortable working in hot or noisy environments.
- Must be willing to work rotational shifts including night shifts.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
