About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Gen AI Engineer with strong Python expertise and hands-on experience working with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
The ideal candidate should have experience in prompt engineering, LLM API integration, API development, external system integration, and handling structured data. You will work on building and shipping AI-powered products and features for the e-commerce domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and ship AI-powered features and products using Python and Generative AI technologies.
- Design, test, and optimize prompts for LLMs such as OpenAI, Gemini, and Claude.
- Build reliable and structured LLM outputs using JSON schema enforcement, validation, retry logic, few-shot prompting, and temperature tuning.
- Work on improving the consistency and reliability of non-deterministic AI model outputs.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and external systems.
- Work with FastAPI for backend and API development.
- Integrate third-party APIs and marketplace seller APIs such as Amazon SP-API and Flipkart Seller API.
- Handle data transformation and schema mapping across CSV, JSON, and XML formats.
- Work with databases such as MongoDB.
- Build and understand agentic workflows and agent harnesses.
- Collaborate with the Tech Lead and development team to build products from scratch.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Follow Git, code review, and CI/CD best practices.
- Convert technical and product requirements into clear acceptance criteria and working features.
- Stay updated with new AI technologies and apply them to real-world product development.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Python.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with AI/LLM applications.
- Experience with Prompt Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude.
- Knowledge of structured outputs, JSON schema enforcement, validation, retry mechanisms, and temperature control.
- Knowledge of LangGraph and/or LangChain.
- Experience with FastAPI.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and external system integration.
- Experience with Postman for API testing.
- Ability to work with JSON, CSV, and XML data formats.
- Understanding of data transformation and schema mapping.
- Knowledge of agentic workflows and AI agent harnesses.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
Good to Have
- Experience with Amazon SP-API or Flipkart Seller API.
- Knowledge of MongoDB or other databases.
- Understanding of LLM token usage and API cost optimization.
- Experience with prompt optimization and fine-tuning.
- Experience with AI-assisted programming or Vibe Coding.
- Interest or experience in the e-commerce domain.
Education
- BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- MCA.
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics with strong coding experience.
- Candidates with equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio of shipped projects are also encouraged to apply.
Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹99,000.00 per month
