Job Summary
Crescent Paediatric and Neonatology Centre is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head Nurse to lead and manage the nursing department. The Head Nurse will oversee pediatric and neonatal nursing services, ensure high standards of patient care, manage staffing and resources, and implement policies aligned with healthcare regulations and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Administration
- Lead, supervise, and manage all nursing staff.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage staffing requirements.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and appraisals.
- Participate in recruitment, orientation, and training of nurses.
Clinical Oversight
- Ensure high-quality pediatric and neonatal patient care.
- Monitor adherence to clinical protocols and standards.
- Supervise critical and high-risk cases when necessary.
- Oversee infection control practices and patient safety measures.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Monitor quality indicators and initiate improvement programs.
- Manage incident reporting and corrective actions.
Training & Development
- Organize continuous nursing education programs.
- Identify skill gaps and implement training initiatives.
- Mentor Team Leader Nurses and senior nursing staff.
Resource Management
- Oversee inventory and proper use of medical equipment.
- Coordinate with pharmacy and other departments.
- Monitor departmental budget and cost control measures.
Patient & Family Relations
- Handle escalated patient or family concerns.
- Promote a compassionate, patient-centered care environment.
Required Qualifications
- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing
- Minimum 5–8 years of nursing experience, including leadership roles.
- Experience in pediatric and neonatal care preferred.
