Qualification
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Production, Industrial Safety, or
related discipline
OR
Any Bachelor’s Degree with Diploma / PG Diploma in Industrial Safety
Experience
5–8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing industry
Experience in roofing sheets, building materials, cement, glass, or allied
manufacturing industries will be preferred
Language fluency of Hindi and Tamil is Mandatory
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, Tamil Nadu Factory Rules, and other
applicable safety regulations.
Coordinate with Factory Inspectorate, DISH, Fire Department, and other statutory
authorities.
Maintain all safety-related registers, records, and reports.
Ensure timely renewal of statutory licences and approvals related to safety.
2. Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment
Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for all departments.
Assess risks related to machinery, electrical systems, material handling, and
contractor activities.
Recommend and monitor implementation of control measures.
3. Safety Inspections & Audits
Conduct routine safety inspections in production, warehouse, utility, and dispatch
areas.
Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
Monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Coordinate internal and external safety audits.
4. Accident Investigation
Investigate accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences, and property
damage incidents.
Conduct root cause analysis.
Recommend corrective actions and ensure timely closure.
Maintain accident statistics and reports.
5. Training & Safety Awareness
Conduct induction training for employees, trainees, and contractors.
Organize toolbox talks and safety awareness programs.
Conduct training on PPE, fire safety, emergency preparedness, and permit
systems.
6. PPE Management
Identify PPE requirements department-wise.
Ensure availability and proper usage of PPE.
Conduct PPE compliance audits.
Recommend appropriate PPE specifications.
7. Fire & Emergency Preparedness
Ensure maintenance of fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and emergency
equipment.
Conduct mock drills and evacuation exercises.
Maintain emergency response plans and assembly point procedures.
8. Work Permit System
Implement and monitor:
o Hot Work Permit
o Work at Height Permit
o Confined Space Entry Permit
o Electrical Isolation Permit
o Excavation Permit
Verify compliance before permit issuance.
9. Contractor Safety Management
Conduct contractor safety induction programs.
Monitor contractor compliance with safety requirements.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
