Job Summary
The Washing Machine Technician troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issues in washing machines, performs repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensures appliances operate safely and efficiently. The role may involve working at customer locations, service centers, or appliance repair companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose faults in washing machines.
- Repair or replace defective components such as motors, pumps, belts, timers, control boards, and valves.
- Install new washing machines and test their operation.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
- Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify problems.
- Explain repairs and maintenance recommendations to customers.
- Maintain service records and repair reports.
- Follow safety procedures and company service standards.
- Order or recommend replacement parts when necessary.
- Stay updated on new appliance technologies and repair techniques.
