Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and qualified Staff Nurse to provide round-the-clock healthcare support to children residing at Welfare Home for Children. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring children's health, administering medications, maintaining medical records, coordinating with doctors and hospitals, and ensuring a hygienic and healthy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily health assessments of children.
- Administer prescribed medicines, injections, and first aid as required.
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment history for every child.
- Monitor children's growth, nutrition, immunization, and overall well-being.
- Coordinate regular health check-ups, vaccinations, and specialist consultations.
- Accompany children to hospitals during emergencies or scheduled appointments.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide immediate nursing care.
- Maintain the medical room, equipment, and inventory of medicines.
- Ensure infection prevention, hygiene, and sanitation standards are followed.
- Educate caregivers and children on personal hygiene, nutrition, and preventive healthcare.
- Prepare monthly health reports and maintain medical documentation.
- Work closely with doctors, caregivers, counselors, and management to ensure comprehensive child care.
Eligibility
- GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid Nursing Council Registration.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical or pediatric nursing experience preferred.
- Experience working with NGOs, childcare institutions, or hospitals will be an added advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge for maintaining health records.
