The Medical Officer is responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients at Cadabams Hospitals, with a focus on mental health and allied conditions. The role involves patient assessment, treatment planning, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed medical assessments, including physical and mental health evaluations
- Assist consultants in diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required
- Handle medical emergencies and provide timely interventions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
- Prescribe medications in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and nursing staff for holistic care
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and legal requirements
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and recovery process
- Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and clinical meetings
Qualifications & Requirements:
- MBBS (mandatory); additional certifications in psychiatry or emergency medicine preferred
- Valid Medical Council Registration
- 0–3 years of clinical experience (freshers with internship experience can also apply)
- Experience in mental health or rehabilitation settings is an added advantage
