Position: Engineer / Senior Engineer – International Sales & Marketing

Location: Kolhapur

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and result-oriented International Sales & Marketing professional with 2–5 years of experience in International Sales, Export Sales, or Business Development within the Electrical & Electronic Components industry. The role involves supporting business development activities across Africa, Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia, handling techno-commercial proposals, estimation, tendering, customer interactions, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of export orders.

Key Responsibilities

International Business Development
- Support business development activities in Africa, Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
- Identify prospective customers and generate new business opportunities.
- Follow up on sales leads, customer inquiries, and RFQs to maximize conversion.
- Assist in achieving assigned export sales targets and market development objectives.

Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, distributors, EPC contractors, and channel partners.
- Handle customer inquiries, product discussions, quotations, and order follow-ups.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer queries in coordination with internal teams.
- Provide excellent customer support to strengthen long-term business relationships.

Techno-Commercial Sales, Estimation & Tendering
- Prepare techno-commercial quotations based on customer requirements and technical specifications.
- Review RFQs, BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Product teams for technical clarifications and product selection.
- Prepare cost estimates, pricing sheets, commercial offers, and tender documentation.
- Assist in tender submissions, bid evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure timely submission of accurate and competitive proposals.

Sales Operations & Export Coordination
- Prepare quotations, proforma invoices, and export documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Logistics, and Finance teams for smooth order execution.
- Monitor order status from inquiry to shipment and payment realization.
- Ensure compliance with export procedures, international shipping requirements, and trade regulations.

Channel Partner Support
- Support the appointment and development of distributors and channel partners.
- Assist partners with product information, technical support, quotations, and commercial proposals.
- Maintain regular communication with channel partners to identify business opportunities.

Market Research & Lead Generation
- Conduct market research on competitors, pricing, customer requirements, and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities in Data Centres, Industrial Automation, Renewable Energy, EV Infrastructure, Electrical Panels, and OEM segments.
- Support international exhibitions, trade fairs, customer visits, and digital marketing initiatives.
- Prepare product presentations and marketing materials for customers.

Reporting & CRM Management
- Update customer interactions, sales opportunities, and pipeline details in the CRM system.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, sales forecasts, and market updates.
- Track quotations, orders, payment status, and business performance.

Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure timely order execution.
- Coordinate with technical teams to provide suitable product solutions based on customer requirements.
- Support new product introductions by collecting customer and market feedback.

Qualifications

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
MBA in Sales & Marketing (Preferred)

Experience

2–5 years of experience in International Sales, Export Sales, or Business Development.
Experience in handling international customers across Africa, Middle East, Europe, or Southeast Asia will be preferred.
Experience in Electrical Components, Industrial Connectors, Data Centre Solutions, PDUs, EV Connectors, Solar Connectors, Industrial Automation, Electrical Panels, Switchgear, OEM Sales, or related industrial products.
Exposure to techno-commercial sales, estimation, tendering, export documentation, and commercial negotiations is preferred.

Required Skills

Basic understanding of international business development and export sales.
Knowledge of techno-commercial sales, estimation, tendering, and proposal preparation.
Ability to understand technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and customer requirements.
Knowledge of export documentation, INCOTERMS, and international logistics.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Experience working with OEMs, distributors, EPC contractors, or channel partners is desirable.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), CRM, and ERP systems.
Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
