TGT Social Studies Teacher who can teach Social Studies with clarity, strong subject understanding, and effective classroom management.
The teacher will be responsible for teaching subjects including History, Geography, Civics and Economics, while helping students understand concepts beyond rote learning and preparing them effectively for school and board examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Studies to assigned middle and secondary classes.
- Plan and deliver structured lessons according to the prescribed syllabus and academic calendar.
- Explain History, Geography, Civics and Economics in a simple, engaging and relatable manner.
- Maintain proper lesson plans, teaching records and academic documentation.
- Prepare worksheets, assignments, question papers and revision material.
- Conduct regular class tests, assessments and examinations.
- Evaluate notebooks, assignments and answer sheets accurately and on time.
- Identify academically weak students and provide appropriate remedial support.
- Prepare students thoroughly for examinations with special focus on concept clarity, answer-writing and syllabus completion.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Monitor students' academic progress and communicate concerns to the academic coordinator/management.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings and provide constructive feedback to parents.
- Use maps, charts, presentations, current events and other teaching aids wherever appropriate.
- Encourage students to connect Social Studies with real-life events, society, government, environment and the economy.
- Participate in school assemblies, activities, examinations, events and other academic responsibilities assigned by the school.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and school management.
- Follow school policies regarding discipline, attendance, documentation and professional conduct.
Qualification
- Graduation: B.A./B.A. (Hons.) or equivalent degree with relevant Social Science subjects.
- B.Ed. preferred/required as applicable.
- Candidates with strong academic knowledge of History, Geography, Political Science/Civics and Economics will be preferred.
Experience
- Prior teaching experience as a TGT Social Studies/Social Science Teacher is preferred.
- Candidates with experience teaching Classes 6–10 will be given preference.
- Fresh candidates with excellent subject knowledge, communication skills and classroom confidence may also be considered.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
