The Sales Officer is responsible for driving sales growth by promoting the company's food processing or dairy products, developing strong customer relationships, expanding the distribution network, and achieving assigned sales targets. The role requires regular market visits, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and institutional customers.
- Identify and appoint new distributors and dealers in assigned territories.
- Conduct regular market visits to generate new business and strengthen existing customer relationships.
- Ensure product availability and proper merchandising at retail outlets.
- Monitor competitors' products, pricing, promotions, and market trends.
- Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely product delivery.
- Collect payments and monitor outstanding receivables.
- Resolve customer complaints and provide prompt after-sales support.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Participate in promotional activities, product launches, and marketing campaigns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Agriculture, Food Technology, Dairy Technology, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of sales experience in FMCG, food processing, or the dairy industry is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong communication and sales aptitude may also be considered.
