Job Role - STP & ETP supervisor and operator. (IOCL Haldia location)
We are looking for candidates who are comfortable working at the IOCL Haldia location. Preference will be given to candidates who are currently based in Haldia or nearby areas.
Location: IOCL, Haldia
Preferred Candidates: Residents of Haldia or surrounding locations.
Salary - 17500- 19500

The operator is responsible for the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of the facility to ensure continuous plant availability without interruption.
This includes providing all necessary materials, labor, tools, tackles, consumables, and spares at no additional cost to the owner.
- Routine Maintenance:
- Daily: Operate the initial pumping system, perform housekeeping (cleaning area/removing dead leaves), backwash the Pressure Sand Filter (PSF) and Activated Carbon Filter (ACF), and supply/refill 25 liters of 10% Sodium Hypochlorite solution.
- Bi-weekly: Operate the Sludge Recirculation System (SRS) pumps to clear accumulated sludge from SBBR and BSF units.
- Weekly: Clean bar screens in the screening chamber and dispose of debris.
- Quarterly: Trim wetland plants (Canna Indica) and replace Micron Cartridge Filters.
- Yearly: Perform desludging of the primary tank and replace sand/gravel media in PSF and GAC media in ACF.
- Technical Support:
- Conduct preventive maintenance on all pumps (raw transfer, filter feed, sludge recirculation, and treated water discharge).
- Perform monthly water sample analysis (e.g., pH, BOD, COD, TSS) at a NABL-accredited laboratory at the operator's own cost.
- Execute all necessary civil, electrical, or mechanical repairs.
- Maintain an inventory of essential spares (e.g., seals, gaskets, O-rings).
- Reporting & Training:
- Submit monthly MIS reports, overhauling schedules, and work execution reports to the Engineer-in-Charge.
- Provide mandatory training for all agency personnel regarding plant operation and safety.
Administrative & Safety Responsibilities
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety practices, provide necessary lighting/fencing for work protection, and ensure the facility remains clean.
- Documentation: Maintain a daily-progress register and ensure proper coordination throughout the contract period.
