Job Summary
The SEO Intern will assist in improving website visibility, organic traffic, and search engine rankings through on-page, off-page, and basic technical SEO activities. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in digital marketing and SEO.
Key Responsibilities On-Page SEO
- Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, and internal links.
- Conduct keyword research and implement keywords strategically across website content.
- Assist in content optimization based on SEO best practices.
Off-Page SEO
- Support link-building activities through quality backlink acquisition.
- Perform competitor backlink analysis and outreach research.
- Monitor and maintain off-page SEO performance.
Technical SEO
- Assist in identifying and resolving basic technical SEO issues.
- Monitor website indexing, crawlability, and site performance.
- Support SEO audits and implementation recommendations.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track website performance using Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Prepare weekly and monthly SEO performance reports.
- Monitor keyword rankings and organic traffic trends.
Research & Analysis
- Conduct competitor analysis and industry research.
- Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's degree (completed or pursuing) in Marketing, Business, IT, Communications, or a related field.
Skills & Knowledge
- Basic understanding of On-Page, Off-Page, and Technical SEO.
- Familiarity with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of keyword research concepts.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and website structure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Ubersuggest, or Screaming Frog.
- Experience working with WordPress websites.
- Basic understanding of content marketing and PPC concepts.
