We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead hospital operations and drive organizational performance.
Job Summary
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospital, ensuring efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, patient satisfaction, financial performance, and operational excellence. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and healthcare management expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee overall hospital operations, administration, and service delivery.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, statutory regulations, and healthcare policies.
- Monitor departmental performance and drive operational efficiency.
- Lead and coordinate with Medical, Nursing, HR, Administration, Finance, Marketing, and Support Services teams.
- Improve patient experience, service quality, and clinical outcomes.
- Manage hospital budgets, resource allocation, and cost-control initiatives.
- Review and optimize hospital processes, policies, and SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, biomedical waste management, fire safety, and other regulatory requirements.
- Analyze operational KPIs and prepare reports for Management and Directors.
- Drive business growth initiatives, occupancy improvement, and service expansion.
- Handle escalations, stakeholder management, and critical operational challenges.
- Build a high-performance culture and strengthen interdepartmental coordination.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master's Degree in Hospital Administration (MHA), Healthcare Management, MBA (Hospital/Healthcare Management), or equivalent qualification.
- Additional certifications in Healthcare Quality, NABH, or Hospital Operations will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital operations.
Experience
- Minimum 8–15 years of experience in hospital administration and healthcare operations.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a senior leadership role such as COO, Operations Head, General Manager, Hospital Administrator, or similar position.
- Experience in NABH-accredited multi-speciality hospitals is mandatory.
