About the Role:
Dau Agency is a MarTech agency delivering SEO, GBP, Paid Media, Creative, and Tech services to 100+brand clients across India. We are a 50+ person team and we are hiring an HR Manager to own thepeople function - reporting directly to the CEO.
What you will own:
● End-to-end hiring across all departments - sourcing, screening, interviews, and offer closures.
● Bi-annual appraisal cycles - KRA frameworks per role, performance reviews, and meritdiscussions with leadership.
● Retention tracking - flag risks early, support career conversations, and work with managers onteam health.
● Offboarding and compliance - documentation, NDA enforcement, asset recovery, and exitinterviews.
● PIPs and performance management - structured, documented, and legally sound
.● Payroll coordination with external finance and payroll vendors - inputs, reconciliation, and queryresolution.
● HR ops - Zoho People, attendance, leave management, and asset inventory.What we are looking for
● 1-3 years in a generalist HR role, preferably at a digital agency, startup, or consulting firm
● Has independently run at least one full appraisal cycle
● Has personally closed hires across functions, not just coordinated interviews
● Direct communicator - comfortable working closely with founders
● Working knowledge of Indian labour compliance - PF, ESIC, gratuity, termination law
● Hands-on with Zoho People or a comparable HRMS
● Has handled terminations and offboarding with proper documentation
● Comfortable owning the function independently without a team below
What this role is not
● A coordination role - we need someone who owns outcomes, not manages calendars.
● A second chair - you will be the only HR person; the role needs full ownership from day one.
● A process-heavy environment - we move fast and expect the same from HR.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
