Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced target oriented and result-oriented Operational Manager to oversee and manage day-to-day operations of our Fabrication and Heat Treatment division. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth production planning, manpower management, productivity improvement, quality control, customer delivery commitments, cost optimization, and cross-functional coordination.(Purchase, QC, Production)
The ideal candidate should possess strong shop-floor leadership, process discipline, problem-solving ability, and experience in handling fabrication and manufacturing operations independently.
Responsibilities:
1. Production Management
Ensure daily production targets are achieved
Monitor machine utilization and manpower
Remove production bottlenecks
Coordinate between fabrication, machining, heat treatment, dispatch, etc.
2. Planning & Scheduling
Follow production plan and customer delivery schedule
Prioritize urgent jobs
Coordinate with PPC team for timelines
3. Manpower Handling
Manage operators, supervisors, helpers
Monitor attendance, discipline, shift planning
Resolve shop-floor issues
4. Quality Control Coordination
Ensure rejection and rework are minimized
Coordinate with QA/QC team
Ensure SOPs and process discipline are followed
5. Cost & Efficiency Control
Reduce scrap, wastage, overtime, idle time
Improve productivity and machine efficiency
Track operational expenses
6. Dispatch & Delivery Monitoring
Ensure material moves on time
Coordinate with stores and logistics
Avoid delayed customer deliveries
7. MIS & Reporting
Daily reporting of:
- Production vs target
- Rejection/rework
- Pending jobs
- Machine breakdowns
- Labour attendance
- Dispatch status
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
- 8–10 years of experience in fabrication, machining, heat treatment, fasteners, heavy engineering, or manufacturing setup.
- Strong exposure to shop-floor operations and manpower handling.
