Job Summary
Sea Blue Shipyard is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage shipbuilding, ship repair, and marine engineering projects from planning through successful completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, monitor, and successfully deliver shipbuilding and ship repair projects.
- Develop detailed project schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, and Commercial teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of all project activities.
- Manage project budgets, costs, manpower, and material utilization.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Conduct project review meetings with clients, consultants, classification societies, and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with classification society rules, statutory regulations, and client specifications.
- Monitor subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and timely execution.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports for management.
- Resolve technical and operational issues affecting project delivery.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
- Maintain effective communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project close-out activities, including documentation and client handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification is preferred.
Experience
- 7–12 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore, or marine engineering projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing shipyard or marine projects.
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously is preferred.
