About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Interior Design AutoCAD Drafter to translate design intent and FF&E specifications into precise, production‑ready drawings. You will collaborate with design leads to produce technical documentation that supports manufacturing, procurement, and installation for complex hospitality projects.
Key Responsibilities
- FF&E Drafting: Develop detailed shop drawings, millwork details, and layouts from design concepts and specifications.
- Technical Documentation: Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D layouts for guestrooms, lobbies, restaurants, and public spaces.
- Schedules & Callouts: Create and maintain furniture schedules, finish schedules, and detailed component callouts.
- Coordination: Align drawings with architectural, MEP, and structural backgrounds to resolve clashes.
- Revisions: Incorporate redlines and markups, ensuring revisions are tracked accurately.
- Standards: Maintain layering conventions, title blocks, and company templates for consistency.
- Procurement Support: Assist with submittal packages, sample boards, and accurate quantity documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing and procurement teams to ensure buildable, high‑quality outputs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional drafting experience in interior design, FF&E, or millwork (hospitality preferred).
- Diploma/degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of SketchUp and Microsoft Office/Excel.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, dimensioning standards, and drawing conventions.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, and furniture/millwork construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural/design drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Clear written and verbal communication in English.
