Factory Operations & Production Management: Oversee day-to-day factory operations, including production planning, scheduling, capacity utilization, and execution to meet delivery timelines while minimizing downtime and waste.
Inventory & Supply Chain Oversight: Manage end-to-end inventory control, coordinate with procurement and logistics for timely raw material availability, and ensure efficient warehousing and material flow.
Vendor & Contractor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors and third-party manufacturers. Negotiate commercial terms and ensure adherence to quality, cost, and delivery commitments.
Quality Control & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards (e.g., ISO, cGMP) and statutory/regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic internal audits and implement corrective actions where required.
Manpower & Resource Planning: Plan workforce deployment across shifts, monitor productivity, and support recruitment and training initiatives to build a skilled production team.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence: Monitor KPIs, analyze production data, and identify bottlenecks. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other efficiency-enhancing methodologies.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present detailed MIS reports covering production performance, inventory status, maintenance activities, and overall operational efficiency for senior management review.
Safety & Facility Management: Ensure implementation of robust safety protocols, maintain housekeeping standards, and promote a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations. Prior exposure to new facility setup or project management will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel) and ERP/WMS systems
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project for production planning, scheduling, and project tracking
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Sound understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain operations
