Mandatory Skills
We are looking for an experienced SDET / QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in test automation, programming, API testing, SQL, CI/CD, and SAP application/integration testing. The ideal candidate should have an engineering-oriented QA mindset with hands-on experience across automation frameworks, APIs, databases, enterprise applications, and SAP environments.
Key Skills:
● Strong experience in SDET / QA Automation / Software Quality Engineering
● Strong programming experience in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript
● Hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks
● Strong experience with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
● Experience in functional, regression, integration, system, API, and end-to-end testing
● Strong experience in API testing and automation using Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent
● Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, and XML
● Strong SQL and database validation skills
● Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA testing
● Experience testing SAP processes, integrations, interfaces, and data flows
● Experience with SAP-to-non-SAP integrations and backend data validation
● Strong experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
● Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
● Strong experience with Git and automated test execution
SAP Testing Experience:
● SAP ECC / SAP S/4HANA
● SAP functional and business process testing
● SAP integration and interface testing
● SAP API / web-service testing
● SAP data validation and SQL-based testing
● SAP-to-non-SAP system integration testing
● Exposure to SAP BW/BI integration testing is an advantage
● Knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HR/HCM, or BW is preferred
Responsibilities:
● Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts
● Execute functional, regression, integration, API, system, and end-to-end testing
● Develop automated tests for web applications, APIs, backend services, and enterprise applications
● Validate SAP processes, interfaces, integrations, and data flows
● Perform SAP-to-non-SAP integration testing and backend data validation
● Develop and execute automated API tests using Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent tools
● Build and maintain UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
● Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
● Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams for resolution
● Create and maintain test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and testing documentation
● Improve automation coverage, framework efficiency, and overall quality processes
● Support release validation and production readiness activities
● Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, SAP Consultants, Product Owners, and DevOps teams
Nice to Have:
● Experience with SAP testing automation
● Performance testing experience using JMeter or similar tools
● Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP
● SAP BW/BI integration testing experience
● Experience with SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HR/HCM, or BW
● Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
● Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
Candidate Profile:
● 5+ years of experience in SDET / QA Automation / Software Quality Engineering
● Strong coding and automation-first mindset
● Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
● Strong API, SQL, integration, and SAP testing experience
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively with distributed/global teams
● Good communication and documentation skills
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field preferred
