Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor
Department: Facility / Operations
Location: Indore
Reports To: Facility Manager / Admin Manager
Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning operations, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring a safe and sanitized environment across the facility. The role involves managing housekeeping staff, monitoring cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage housekeeping staff (attendants, cleaners, janitors)
- Assign daily duties and prepare duty rosters
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of OPD, IPD, wards, OTs, and common areas
- Monitor infection control practices and hygiene standards
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of cleanliness
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and raise requisitions
- Train housekeeping staff on SOPs, safety, and hygiene protocols
- Coordinate with nursing and admin departments for cleanliness requirements
- Handle complaints related to housekeeping and resolve them promptly
- Ensure waste segregation and disposal as per biomedical waste guidelines
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment
- Understanding of infection control (especially in hospital settings)
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations
Qualification:
- Minimum: 10+2 / Graduate
- Certification in Housekeeping / Hospitality Management (preferred)
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hospital or hotel
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Cleanliness audit scores
- Staff attendance and productivity
- Complaint resolution time
- Adherence to infection control standards
Working Conditions:
- Rotational shifts (including weekends/holidays)
- On-floor supervision required

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
