Head of Retail Division
Brands: D2C Location: Jogeshwari, Mumbai, India Reports to: Founder/Leadership Direct reports: Team of 8 across functions
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced retail leader to head the Retail Division for brands in food and wellness sector. This is a senior, P&L-owning role responsible for the full operational, commercial, and strategic performance of both brands across all sales channels. The right person is a hands-on builder who can set direction and execute, comfortable moving between high-level strategy and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
P&L & Strategy
- Own the full P&L for the retail division, including revenue, margin, and cost management
- Define and execute the division's retail strategy, growth roadmap, and annual operating plan
- Set targets across channels and report performance to leadership
Sales (Offline, Online & Corporate)
- Drive sales across all channels: retail/offline, e-commerce/D2C, and corporate/B2B
- Build and manage relationships with retail partners, distributors, marketplaces, and corporate clients
- Own pricing, promotions, and channel-specific commercial strategy
- Optimize the online sales funnel and marketplace presence
Operations
- Oversee end-to-end retail operations: inventory, fulfilment, supply chain, and order management
- Establish and refine SOPs to standardize processes and improve efficiency
- Ensure smooth coordination between sales, marketing, and supply functions
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 8 across sales, operations, and supporting functions
- Set goals, manage performance, and build a high-accountability culture
- Hire and structure the team to support growth
Requirements
- 15+ years in retail, with significant experience leading multi-channel sales (offline, online, and B2B/corporate)
- Proven P&L ownership and track record of hitting revenue and margin targets
- Strong people management experience leading cross-functional teams
- Experience in consumer brands; FMCG, wellness, beauty, or specialty/D2C a strong plus
- Commercially sharp with strong analytical and operational discipline
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, founder-led, multi-brand environment
Preferred
- Experience scaling a D2C/e-commerce brand and managing marketplace channels (Amazon, etc.)
- Familiarity with the wellness, fragrance, or natural products categories
- Experience setting up retail/distribution networks in India
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
