Role Summary
A barista prepares and serves coffee and other beverages while delivering friendly, efficient customer service. They help create a welcoming café environment and ensure product quality and cleanliness standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee and espresso drinks (latte, cappuccino, etc.) to standard recipes
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and POS systems
- Take customer orders and handle payments
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and seating areas
- Restock supplies (cups, beans, milk, syrups)
- Provide excellent customer service and handle basic complaints
- Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines
- Open or close the café (depending on shift)
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of coffee brewing (training often provided)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and consistency
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
Preferred (not always required):
- Prior experience in a café or customer service role
- Familiarity with espresso machines
Physical Requirements
- Standing for long periods
- Lifting light to moderate items (milk cartons, supplies)
- Working in a busy, sometimes noisy environment
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
