About POPIN
POPIN is a leading video commerce and shopping platform that helps customers discover and purchase products from trusted brands. We have recently launched a new Brand Discovery & Listing feature, enabling brands to showcase their products prominently when customers search for relevant categories. Similar to how platforms like Justdial help users discover businesses, POPIN helps shoppers discover brands at the point of purchase.
As we expand this marketplace, we're looking for enthusiastic interns who are eager to learn business development, sales, and startup growth.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Intern, you will play a key role in expanding POPIN's brand ecosystem by identifying and onboarding brands across multiple product categories. You will engage with offline and online businesses, educate them about POPIN's platform, and help them improve their online visibility and customer reach through our brand listing solutions.
This role is ideal for candidates interested in business development, B2B sales, partnerships, and digital commerce.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a pipeline of prospective businesses using online research and market visits.
- Reach out to business owners through calls, emails, WhatsApp, and in-person meetings.
- Explain the benefits of listing their brand on POPIN.
- Present available listing and promotional packages designed to maximize ROI.
- Convert qualified prospects into active brand partners.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, and conversions.
- Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer preferences.
- Achieve monthly onboarding targets.
Duration: 3–6 Months
Who Should Apply
- Students pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's or Master's degrees.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable speaking with business owners and decision-makers.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn sales and business development.
- Basic knowledge of Google Sheets.
- Interest in startups, e-commerce, marketplaces, or digital marketing.
Preferred Skills
- Sales or marketing internship experience (preferred but not mandatory).
