Job Description – Regional Head (Rice,Maize and all agro commodities Division)

Job Summary
The Regional Head – Rice & Maize Division will be responsible for managing end-to-end business operations across the assigned region, with a primary focus on sales growth, procurement, vendor development, and market expansion. The role involves building strong relationships with farmers, traders, millers, and institutional buyers while ensuring profitable business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets.
- Expand the customer base by onboarding wholesalers, distributors, exporters, and institutional buyers.
- Identify new market opportunities for rice and maize products.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing movements.
Procurement & Sourcing
- Lead procurement activities for rice and maize from farmers, traders, aggregators, and mills.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, quality standards, and commercial terms.
- Ensure timely procurement to meet business and customer requirements.
Market Intelligence
- Track daily commodity prices and market fluctuations.
- Provide regular reports on crop conditions, arrivals, demand-supply dynamics, and competitor analysis.
- Recommend procurement and sales strategies based on market trends.
Team & Operations Management
- Lead and mentor the regional sales and procurement team.
- Coordinate with logistics, finance, and warehouse teams for smooth execution of orders.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with farmers, millers, brokers, traders, and key customers.
- Represent the company in industry meetings, trade events, and market visits.
- Resolve customer and supplier issues effectively to maintain business continuity.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- 12–15 years of experience in sales and procurement of rice, maize, or other agro commodities.
- Strong network within the Delhi and North India agro commodity market.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and business development skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.
