Role Overview
We are looking for a UI/UX Design Intern who is passionate about creating simple, intuitive, and user-friendly digital experiences.
As a UI/UX Intern, you will work closely with our product, design, and development teams to understand user requirements, analyze existing product experiences, create wireframes and prototypes, and contribute to improving the overall usability and visual quality of our SaaS platform.
This role provides hands-on experience working on a real-world cybersecurity SaaS product, where you will be involved in actual product design activities rather than only theoretical or practice projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and improving user interfaces for our web-based SaaS application.
- Understand product requirements and convert them into clear and intuitive user experiences.
- Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and design constraints.
- Analyze existing product screens and identify usability, consistency, and user experience improvements.
- Design responsive interfaces that work effectively across different screen sizes.
- Follow and contribute to existing design systems, UI patterns, components, and visual guidelines.
- Maintain consistency in typography, spacing, colors, icons, layouts, and other visual elements.
- Create different design alternatives and evaluate them based on usability and product requirements.
- Incorporate feedback from designers, developers, product managers, and stakeholders into design iterations.
- Collaborate with developers during implementation to ensure the final product matches the intended design.
- Review implemented UI and identify visual or interaction inconsistencies.
- Assist in conducting basic usability testing and gathering user feedback where required.
- Stay updated with modern UI/UX practices, design trends, accessibility standards, and SaaS product design patterns.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Understanding of wireframing, prototyping, user flows, and basic interaction design.
- Good understanding of visual design fundamentals such as: Typography, Color, Spacing, Layout, Visual hierarchy, Alignment, Consistency
- Ability to understand a problem from the user's perspective and think about possible solutions.
- Good attention to detail and an eye for visual consistency.
- Strong willingness to learn and experiment with different design approaches.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to accept feedback and iterate on designs.
- Basic understanding of responsive web design.
- Interest in designing web applications, SaaS products, or technology products.
Added Advantage
- Experience creating designs using Figma.
- Knowledge of Figma components, variants, auto layout, styles, and design systems.
- Understanding of UX research and usability testing.
- Familiarity with accessibility and WCAG principles.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Understanding of how web applications are developed and implemented.
- Experience designing dashboards, admin panels, SaaS applications, or complex web applications.
- Familiarity with developer handoff and design specifications.
- Knowledge of design systems and reusable UI components.
- Experience working on personal, academic, freelance, or open-source UI/UX projects.
- A portfolio demonstrating UI/UX work is a strong advantage.

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Multimedia, or a related field.
- Students or recent graduates with strong UI/UX skills and a good portfolio are also encouraged to apply.
- Portfolio: Candidates are encouraged to share their UI/UX portfolio, Figma projects, case studies, or relevant academic/personal projects along with their application.
