Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Manager – EHS & Quality to lead the Environment, Health, Safety (EHS) and Quality functions for MEP projects. The candidate will ensure all works are executed safely, comply with statutory regulations, approved drawings, client specifications, and company quality standards while driving continuous improvement across project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHS policies, SOPs, and safe work procedures.
- Conduct HIRA/JSA before execution of activities.
- Ensure PPE compliance and safe work practices at project sites.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and work permit training.
- Monitor work at height, lifting operations, confined space, hot work, electrical safety, and excavation activities.
- Perform EHS audits, investigate incidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with Labour Laws, BOCW, Fire Safety, and statutory requirements.
- Organize emergency mock drills and maintain safety documentation.
Quality Management (MEP)
- Ensure execution as per approved AFC drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Inspect incoming MEP materials and maintain Material Inspection Reports (MIR).
- Monitor installation quality for Electrical, HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, ELV, and BMS systems.
- Conduct stage-wise inspections, maintain Work Inspection Requests (WIR), NCRs, and quality records.
- Witness testing, commissioning, FAT/SAT, and integrated system testing.
- Review QA/QC documentation, O&M manuals, and As-built drawings before project handover.
Audit & Compliance
- Conduct internal quality and EHS audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Monitor corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Project, Design, Procurement, Planning, and Client teams.
- Attend client meetings, resolve quality observations, and ensure timely closure of punch points.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Diploma in Industrial Safety.
- NEBOSH/IOSH certification preferred.
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification is an added advantage.
- 6–10 years of experience in MEP EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical, HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, ELV/BMS systems, QA/QC processes, testing & commissioning, and statutory EHS compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
