Job Summary:
Motor Balancing Machine Operator is responsible for performing dynamic and static balancing of electric motor rotors using balancing machines. The role ensures vibration-free motor operation, improves efficiency, and maintains quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate dynamic balancing machine for motor rotors.
- Check rotor alignment, shaft straightness, and mechanical condition.
- Identify vibration levels and correct imbalance by adding/removing weight.
- Handle different types of rotors (AC/DC motors, HT/LT motors).
- Maintain balancing tolerance as per industry standards.
- Record balancing data and maintain reports.
- Follow safety procedures while operating machinery.
- Coordinate with rewinding and assembly team.
- Perform routine maintenance of balancing equipment.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of dynamic & static balancing process
- Understanding of vibration measurement
- Basic knowledge of motor assembly & dismantling
- Ability to read basic technical drawings
- Attention to detail
- Safety awareness
Additional Knowledge (Preferred):
- Motor rewinding basics
- Bearing fitting & removal
- Shaft alignment
- Use of measuring tools (Vernier, Dial Gauge, Micrometer)
Working Conditions:
