The Junior HR & Finance Manager is responsible for providing administrative and operational support across both Human Resources and Finance functions. This role ensures smooth day-to-day HR processes (such as recruitment, employee records, and payroll) and assists with financial operations (including bookkeeping, expense tracking, and reporting). The position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources (HR) Responsibilities:
- Assist with end-to-end recruitment processes: job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR databases.
- Support payroll processing by coordinating attendance, leave records, and overtime data.
- Manage employee benefits enrollment and respond to HR-related queries.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, and performance appraisal processes.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR regulations.
Finance Responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions in accounting systems.
- Prepare and process invoices, reimbursements, and vendor payments.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Assist with budget tracking, expense management, and cost control activities.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and external accountants when necessary.
- Help ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal financial policies.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in HR, Finance, or administrative roles (experience in both preferred).
- Familiarity with HR software and accounting tools.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, payroll systems, and employment laws.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Strong analytical and numerical ability.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel and Word).
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in small to mid-sized organizations or startups.
- Basic knowledge of financial reporting and HR analytics.
- Certification in HR or Accounting is a plus.
