Textile Store Keeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking textile materials and related inventory in a textile factory, garment unit, warehouse, or retail back-end store. The role ensures that raw materials, finished goods, trims, and accessories are properly organized, recorded, and available when needed for production or dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive textile materials, fabrics, yarn, trims, accessories, and finished goods from suppliers or production departments.
- Check incoming stock for quantity, quality, and damage, and report discrepancies.
- Arrange and store materials properly to prevent damage, loss, contamination, or misplacement.
- Maintain accurate stock records manually or in inventory software.
- Issue materials to production, cutting, stitching, packing, or dispatch departments as required.
- Monitor stock levels and inform management when items need replenishment.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with records.
- Label, tag, and categorize inventory for easy identification and retrieval.
- Coordinate with purchasing, production, and logistics teams.
- Ensure the store area is clean, secure, and compliant with safety procedures.
- Prepare stock reports, inward/outward registers, and inventory summaries.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of textile materials and inventory handling.
- Basic computer skills, especially in Excel or inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work with production and warehouse teams.
- Basic understanding of stock control and material flow.
- Honesty, responsibility, and time management
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
