Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and patient-focused Optometrist to join our team in Rajajinagar, Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience in conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems, and recommending appropriate vision correction solutions. Optometrists typically perform eye examinations, prescribe corrective lenses, identify common eye conditions, and refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
- Perform refraction tests and prescribe spectacles/contact lenses.
- Diagnose common vision disorders and identify eye health issues.
- Advise patients on eye care, vision correction, and preventive eye health.
- Recommend suitable optical products based on patient requirements.
- Maintain accurate patient records and examination reports.
- Refer patients to ophthalmologists when advanced medical intervention is required.
- Ensure high standards of patient care and professional ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Optometry (B.Optom/D.Optom or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Optometrist.
- Strong knowledge of refraction, contact lens fitting, and eye examination procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with optical retail or eye clinics.
- Familiarity with diagnostic ophthalmic equipment.
- Customer-focused approach.
