Position Objective
The Solar Design Engineer – Civil and Mechanical shall be responsible for the civil, structural, and
mechanical design support required for solar EPC projects. The incumbent shall ensure that
design outputs are technically sound, constructible, cost-effective, and aligned with project
specifications, site conditions, statutory requirements, and execution requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent shall prepare and review civil and mechanical design deliverables for solar
projects, including site layouts, grading plans, foundation layouts, structural arrangements,
mounting structure drawings, drainage provisions, access roads, boundary works, equipment
foundations, and related technical documentation. The role shall require close coordination with
electrical, procurement, project execution, and site teams to ensure integrated and coordinated
design development.
The incumbent shall support preparation of drawings, technical specifications, bills of material,
quantity estimation, and vendor clarifications. The role shall also include civil and mechanical
design inputs for solar power plants, agrovoltaics, concentrated solar thermal systems, solar EV
charging infrastructure, green telecom tower installations, and other allied EPC applications. The
incumbent shall further support site-level technical review, constructability assessment, design
optimization, and resolution of execution-related design issues. All deliverables shall conform to
quality standards, safety norms, engineering codes, and project-specific constructability
requirements.
Educational Qualification
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline shall be
required.
Minimum Experience
A minimum of 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in civil and mechanical design, structural
coordination, solar EPC engineering, or allied project work shall be required. Prior exposure to
solar mounting structures, foundation design, site development works, or utility-scale projects shall
be preferred.
Required Knowledge and Competencies
The incumbent shall possess sound knowledge of AutoCAD, engineering drawings, civil and
mechanical design principles, solar mounting systems, structural coordination, foundation
concepts, site development works, and EPC documentation standards. Strong attention to detail,
coordination capability, site execution understanding, and practical design judgment shall be
essential.
Performance Expectations
The incumbent shall ensure timely release of accurate civil and mechanical design documents,
effective coordination
Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
