Role Overview:
The Associate Dean & Associate Professor will provide academic leadership, program development, research guidance, and administrative oversight for the School of Health Science and Technology. The role focuses on skill-integrated healthcare education, industry collaboration, applied research, and academic quality assurance in alignment with guidelines of the University Grants Commission and relevant regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Leadership
-
Support the Dean in strategic planning and academic governance of the School.

Lead curriculum design, revision, and outcome-based education aligned with industry and healthcare sector needs.
-
Ensure implementation of skill-integrated learning, simulation labs, and clinical training models.
-
Monitor academic quality, teaching standards, and program delivery.
2. Teaching & Learning
-
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Health Sciences and Technology.
-
Integrate applied learning, simulation tools, and case-based teaching methods.
-
Mentor students for clinical training, projects, internships, and career development.
-
Guide capstone projects, dissertations, and research work.
3. Research & Innovation
-
Conduct high-quality research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
-
Lead and collaborate in funded research projects in healthcare and allied technologies.
-
Promote interdisciplinary research and innovation in health sciences.
4. Academic Administration
-
Assist in academic planning, faculty development, and workload management.
-
Support accreditation processes, regulatory compliance, and academic audits.
-
Contribute to UGC /NAAC another ranking initiatives and institutional quality assurance.
5. Industry & Clinical Partnerships
-
Establish collaborations with hospitals, healthcare organizations, and industry partners.

Facilitate clinical training, internships, apprenticeships, and placement opportunities.
-
Promote skill-based certification programs and continuing education programs.
6. Faculty Mentoring & Development
-
Mentor junior faculty members in teaching, research, and professional development.

Support recruitment, evaluation, and training of faculty.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
-
Ph.D. in Health Sciences / Allied Health Sciences / Healthcare Technology / Relevant Discipline
-
Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks in the relevant discipline.
-
Minimum 8 years of teaching / research experience in university / college.
-
Experience in healthcare education, skill-based training, or clinical education preferred.
-
Minimum 2-5 research publications in peer-reviewed high indexed journals.
-
Experience in academic administration / leadership roles will be preferred.
