The Purchase Executive will be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities for electronic components and PCBA projects, including BOM analysis, sourcing, RFQ and quotation management, price negotiation, Purchase Order (PO) processing, supplier follow-up, delivery tracking, shortage management, and coordination with Engineering, Production, Stores, Quality, Finance, SCM, Sales, Program Management, and Customers.
The role requires strong knowledge of electronic components, BOMs, authorized distributors, lead times, alternate parts, international sourcing, import procurement, logistics, and supplier relationship management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. BOM Analysis & Management
- Review Assembly BOM, E-BOM, Procurement BOM, Mechanical BOM, and customer requirements.
- Verify part numbers, MPNs, descriptions, quantities, package, footprint, specifications, and approved sources.
- Identify BOM discrepancies, duplicate items, missing components, quantity mismatches, and obsolete/shortage parts.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Customers for BOM clarifications and alternate-part approvals.
- Prepare and maintain component procurement trackers and project-wise purchase status.
2. Electronics Component Procurement
- Manage procurement of electronic components for prototype, NPI, and mass-production PCBA projects.
- Source components through authorized distributors, manufacturers, and approved suppliers.
- Handle international sourcing and import procurement.
- Evaluate alternate components based on availability, lead time, cost, and technical requirements.
- Ensure components are procured within project timelines and required quality standards.
3. Supplier & Commercial Management
- Identify, evaluate, develop, and maintain reliable suppliers.
- Float RFQs, collect and compare quotations, and negotiate price, MOQ, lead time, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Process Purchase Orders and ensure accurate commercial and technical details.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
- Support cost-reduction and procurement optimization initiatives.
4. Delivery & Shortage Management
- Track supplier commitments and delivery schedules.
- Follow up continuously on pending and critical purchase orders.
- Monitor component shortages and develop recovery plans.
- Escalate critical shortages that may impact production or customer deliveries.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Engineering, SCM, and Program Management for material availability.
5. Import & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate international procurement, shipment tracking, logistics, and import documentation.
- Follow up with freight forwarders, logistics partners, and customs/clearing agencies.
- Monitor shipment status and ensure timely receipt of critical components.
6. Cross-Functional & Customer Coordination
Coordinate procurement activities with:
Engineering | Production | Stores | Quality | Finance | SCM | Sales | Program Management | Customers
Support customer BOM management, procurement status reporting, material availability updates, and resolution of procurement-related issues.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE
Experience in sourcing electronic components through distributors such as Mouser, DigiKey, Arrow, element14/Farnell, RS, Avnet, or equivalent authorized channels will be an advantage.
Knowledge of capacitors, resistors, ICs, connectors, diodes, transistors, MOSFETs, regulators, sensors, crystals, electromechanical components, PCB/PCBA materials, and mechanical components is preferred.

Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / equivalent qualification in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹53,000.00 per month
