Brief Job Overview
The Training and Special Projects Marketing Specialist is a non-supervisory position primarily responsible for ensuring the Strategic Customer Engagement, Scientific Affairs, Regional Regulatory Affairs teams at USP and our Authorized Distributors have the content they need to confidently engage with customers and other stakeholders to achieve desired customer actions and meet business objectives. The position will partner with USP’s industry programs and growth marketing teams to create and maintain sales playbooks, manage content hubs, communicate with internal and external teams so they can utilize materials such as presentations, quick reference cards and talking points. Importantly, the position will help USP adopt innovative technologies and techniques to maximize the effectiveness.
The position is also responsible for implementing a “solutioning” (grouping relevant USP products and services together to solve industry problems) approach, developing and promoting assets and platforms related to solutioning and training relevant teams within USP and its channels partners to achieve solutioning.

This includes training in equitable management practices and tools to promote engaged, collaborative, and results-driven work environments.
The Training and Special Projects Marketing Specialist has the following responsibilities:
- Create and manage Sales Playbooks and other tools to ensure Strategic Customer Development, Scientific Affairs, Regional Regulatory Affairs teams can engage consistently and successfully with customers and other external stakeholders.
- Partner with commercial leads and marketing communications to develop materials that meet the needs of Strategic Customer Engagement, Scientific Affairs, Regional Regulatory Affairs teams.
- Gather feedback from Strategic Customer Development, Scientific Affairs, Regional Regulatory Affairs, and other teams on existing and future content as well as content delivery.
- Develop and implement a feedback system to monitor the use and impact of certain marketing assets/collateral.
- Recommend and work with commercial leads to implement changes to marketing assets/collaterals to make them easy to use for internal teams and channel partners.
- Partner with Salesforce team and IT to refine content delivery mechanisms to best meet the needs of Strategic Customer Engagement, Scientific Affairs, Regional Regulatory Affairs teams.
- Develop curriculum plan for new members of the Strategic Customer Development and Marketing teams.
- Support the development of e-learning modules using Articulate 360.
- Collaborate with marketing and commercial heads to upgrade the skills and tools for customer and stakeholder facing staff in the regions.
- Explore new Sales Enablement tools to improve effectiveness of Strategic Customer Engagement, Scientific Affairs, Regional Regulatory Affairs teams.
Who is USP Looking For?
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in life sciences or equivalent
- 3 or more years in sales in the life sciences or equivalent.
- Experience working with Salesforce and SharePoint is highly preferred.
- Highly proficient with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A strong work ethic
- Proven track record of working across teams with minimal supervision.

- A master’s or a PhD degree in life sciences or equivalent
- Experience in instructional design and training.
- Experience working with Articulate 360 to develop e-learning content.
- Scientific background / understanding of analytical science coupled with successful sales track record
- Experience in supporting a scientific/pharmaceutical or multi-lateral organization with multiple stakeholders.
