Accounts Assistant – Exports & FinanceAbout the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support the finance and export operations of our garment manufacturing and export business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting, export documentation, banking coordination, statutory compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records. Experience in the export industry is preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Finance
- Record daily accounting transactions in Tally/ERP.
- Prepare sales and purchase invoices.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank accounts, customer ledgers, and vendor accounts.
- Process employee reimbursements and petty cash.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Export Documentation & Banking
- Prepare commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping documents, and export invoices.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, and logistics partners for documentation.
- Liaise with AD banks for export documentation, inward remittances, and eBRC/BRC.
- Track export receivables and follow up for timely realization of export proceeds.
- Maintain export documentation as per DGFT, FEMA, and RBI requirements.
GST & Statutory Compliance
- Assist in GST reconciliation and return preparation.
- Maintain LUT records and support export refund documentation.
- Prepare TDS workings and assist in return filing.
- Coordinate with auditors during statutory and tax audits.
MIS & Reporting
- Prepare weekly reports on receivables, payables, and cash flow.
- Maintain customer-wise outstanding statements.
- Generate management reports as required.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical financial records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an export-oriented garment or textile company.
- Strong knowledge of Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
- Understanding of GST, TDS, and export documentation.
- Familiarity with eBRC, shipping bills, LUT, and export banking procedures is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Good written and verbal English communication.
- Ability to coordinate with banks, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and overseas customers.
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
