Overview:
TRC Companies is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Developer (C#/C++) in Hyderabad to join the Transmission Technology Group within the Power sector to work under limited supervision, complete large, high-complexity projects. Lead development efforts for assigned subject area. Develop, document, and implement technical designs. Communicate with customers, management, and team. Responsible for the optimization and performance improvements of new and existing code base including design and development of batch and near-real time data integration processes, Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, development in heterogeneous database environments, and navigation through complex systems configurations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using C#, C++, and Python.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code following object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and coding standards.

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects to ensure application stability and performance.

Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Work within Agile development methodologies, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.

Utilize Visual Studio and GitHub for software development, version control, and collaboration.

Develop and maintain software interfaces and system integrations with internal and third-party applications.

Write and optimize SQL queries and interact with relational databases where required.

Support reporting and data visualization initiatives using Microsoft Power BI, when applicable.

Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and code documentation.

Conduct unit testing and support system integration and user acceptance testing.

Research and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve software quality and development efficiency.

Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Provide technical support and mentorship to junior developers when required.

Ensure software solutions comply with organizational security, quality, and performance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree specializing in computer science or equivalent work experience required.

5+ years experience with C#, C++, Python and Visual Studio.

5+ years working experience in a software development environment.

Sound knowledge of traditional as well as agile software development methodologies.

Strong application debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of object-oriented design principles.

Experience with SQL preferred but not required.

Experience with MS PowerBI preferred but not required.

Strong ability to carry out research and innovation.

Sound knowledge and experience working with software applications and interface design.

Highly effective working in a team as well as working independently.
