About the Role
We're looking for a versatile videographer/content creator to shoot and edit content for a beauty brand. This role covers two distinct content types: beauty content (product, tutorial, and makeup-style shoots) and founder/personal-brand content (talking-head, vlogs, day-in-the-life style). Content will be produced across YouTube (long-form + Shorts), Instagram (Reels + posts), and other social platforms.
Responsibilities
- Shoot and edit short-form video (Reels/Shorts) and long-form YouTube content
- Film founder-led content — talking-head, vlogs, "building in public" style clips
- Shoot beauty/product content with attention to lighting for skin tones and close-up detail
- Work from written creative briefs to keep content aligned with brand messaging
- Repurpose single shoots into multiple platform-specific cuts (e.g., long YouTube video → Shorts/Reels)
- Edit with platform-appropriate pacing (YouTube retention-driven edits vs. fast-hook Reels/Shorts edits)
- Direct a non-actor founder on camera in a natural, comfortable way
- Support a consistent, structured posting cadence (multiple times per week)
Requirements
- Must own a professional camera and complete editing system/setup
- Proven experience shooting beauty/skincare/makeup content/ Fashion specifically — portfolio required
- Experience editing for YouTube (pacing, retention, longer-form storytelling), not just short-form
- Proficiency in editing software (Premiere/CapCut/DaVinci — specify preference)
- Comfortable directing talent/founders on camera
- Vertical and horizontal shooting/editing versatility
- Strong command of English, spoken and written for directing talking-head content, timing edits around speech, and writing accurate captions/subtitles
Bonus (Nice-to-Have)
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva/Photoshop/Illustrator) for thumbnails and static social posts
- Experience with a solo founder or early-stage brand
