About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and technically strong Web Application Developer to join our team at Payton Health. The candidate should have good coding skills, strong development fundamentals, and the ability to contribute to research, development, maintenance, and hosting of web applications. This role is ideal for someone who wants to work on real-world products, learn quickly, and support the end-to-end lifecycle of web-based solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain web applications and internal tools.
Work on new feature development, bug fixing, and performance improvements.
Support research and development efforts for new application ideas, workflows, and technical improvements.
Assist in deployment, hosting, and basic production support of web applications.
Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and translate them into working solutions.
Debug issues, troubleshoot failures, and ensure application stability.
Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
Maintain existing applications and make enhancements as business needs evolve.
Work with APIs, databases, and third-party integrations when required.
Document code, changes, and deployment steps properly.
Participate in testing and quality checks before release.
Support continuous improvement of development processes and application architecture.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and core web development concepts.
Good coding and problem-solving skills.
Basic understanding of backend development and APIs.
Familiarity with databases such as MySQL or similar systems.
Experience or exposure to application deployment and hosting.
Ability to debug, maintain, and optimize existing applications.
Willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with one backend language or framework such as PHP, Python, Node.js, Java, or .NET.
Knowledge of responsive design and browser compatibility.
Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
Exposure to cloud hosting or server management basics.
Understanding of REST APIs and application lifecycle management.
Interest in healthcare technology or healthcare automation would be an advantage.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Equivalent practical experience and project work will also be considered.
