Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Trainer – Four Wheeler Service Technician for its skill development training programs in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
The trainer will be responsible for delivering theoretical and practical training to candidates in automobile servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repair, workshop safety, and customer service practices in accordance with the prescribed curriculum, Qualification Pack/NOS, and applicable skill development guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and practical training for Four Wheeler Service Technician / Automotive Service Technician job roles.
- Train candidates in inspection, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of four-wheelers.
- Demonstrate the use of automotive tools, diagnostic equipment, measuring instruments, and workshop machinery.
Provide practical training on:
- Engine systems
- Transmission and clutch systems
- Braking systems
- Steering and suspension
- Electrical and electronic systems
- Battery and charging systems
- Cooling and lubrication systems
- Routine servicing and preventive maintenance
- Conduct daily practical demonstrations and hands-on workshop sessions.
- Ensure adherence to prescribed Qualification Pack (QP), National Occupational Standards (NOS), NSQF curriculum, and training hours.
- Prepare lesson plans, session plans, practical exercises, assignments, and training materials.
- Maintain candidate attendance, assessment records, practical logs, and other training documentation.
- Conduct periodic internal assessments, mock tests, and practical evaluations.
- Identify candidates requiring additional support and provide remedial training.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe usage of tools, equipment, machinery, and training infrastructure.
- Follow occupational health, safety, PPE, and workshop safety requirements.
- Support candidates in preparing for final assessment and certification.
- Provide basic employability, workplace discipline, and industry-readiness guidance to trainees.
- Coordinate with the Centre Manager, Training Coordinator, Assessors, and Project Team for smooth implementation of training programs.
- Support placement activities by preparing candidates for interviews and employment opportunities in automobile workshops, dealerships, and service centres.
Qualification
Candidates should preferably possess one of the following qualifications:
- ITI in Mechanic Motor Vehicle (MMV) / Automobile
- Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering
- B.E./B.Tech in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering
- Any other relevant qualification in the Automotive sector
Experience
- Minimum 3–4 years of relevant industry and/or training experience in automobile servicing and maintenance.
- Candidates with experience in authorized automobile dealerships, service centres, workshops, or skill development training centres will be preferred.
- Previous experience as an Automotive Trainer / Four Wheeler Technician Trainer will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of four-wheeler servicing and maintenance.
- Good practical knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and practical manner.
- Hands-on experience with workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle classroom as well as workshop-based training.
- Knowledge of skill development programs, NSQF, QP-NOS, assessments, and certification processes will be an advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate in Telugu is essential; working knowledge of English and Hindi will be an added advantage.
