Business Analyst – Healthcare Information System (HIS)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with experience in the Healthcare/Hospital Information System (HIS) domain to analyze business requirements, coordinate with healthcare stakeholders, and support the implementation and enhancement of healthcare applications. The candidate will work closely with technical teams, hospital staff, and project managers to ensure smooth delivery of healthcare IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from healthcare stakeholders.
- Understand hospital workflows including OPD, IPD, Billing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, EMR/EHR, and Insurance modules.
- Prepare BRD, FRD, user stories, process flow diagrams, and functional specifications.
- Coordinate with development, QA, and implementation teams during project execution.
- Conduct requirement walkthroughs, gap analysis, and impact analysis.
- Support UAT, user training, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
- Work with stakeholders to improve healthcare operational processes through digital solutions.
- Participate in client meetings, demonstrations, and requirement discussions.
- Ensure proper documentation and change management processes are followed.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and integration teams when required.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Healthcare/Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
- Knowledge of hospital operations and healthcare workflows.
- Excellent requirement gathering and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile or Waterfall project environments.
- Ability to coordinate between business users and technical teams.
Technical Skills
- HIS/EMR/EHR Systems
- SQL basics and data analysis
- API/System Integration understanding
- Documentation Tools (MS Visio, Confluence, etc.)
- Project Management Tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Trello, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Healthcare Management, Pharmacy, or related field.
- Certification in Business Analysis or Healthcare IT is an added advantage.
Experience
- 4–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Healthcare/HIS domain projects.
- Experience working with hospitals or healthcare product companies preferred.

- Strong client interaction and communication skills.
- Ability to understand both technical and business perspectives.
- Experience handling healthcare product implementation or customization projects.
- Good presentation and documentation capabilities.
