Job Summary
The Accounts Head is responsible for leading the finance and accounting function of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, taxation, internal controls, and efficient cash flow management. The role supports strategic decision-making by providing financial insights while maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Experience in the automobile industry, including dealerships, manufacturing, or distribution, is preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor budget utilization and analyze variances.
- Provide financial analysis and MIS reports to management for strategic decision-making.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate filing of statutory returns within prescribed timelines.
- Liaise with tax consultants and government authorities during assessments and audits.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Coordinate internal, statutory, and tax audits.
- Develop and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
- Implement corrective actions based on audit observations.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.
- Monitor receivables and payables to optimize cash utilization.
- Oversee fund planning and banking transactions.
Automobile Industry-Specific Responsibilities
- Monitor vehicle inventory accounting and stock reconciliation.
- Oversee accounting for vehicle purchases, sales, accessories, spare parts, and service operations.
- Ensure accurate accounting of manufacturer incentives, rebates, warranties, and dealership claims.
- Analyze profitability by vehicle model, branch, service department, and business segment.
- Coordinate with sales, service, and inventory teams for financial accuracy.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Promote continuous process improvement and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or Accounting.
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
Experience
- 8–15 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the automobile industry (dealership, manufacturing, or distribution) is highly desirable.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹130,000.00 per month
