The Technical Officer is responsible for monitoring and supporting dairy production operations, ensuring efficient processing, equipment performance, product quality, and compliance with food safety and quality standards. The role also assists in process optimization, preventive maintenance coordination, and technical troubleshooting.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Process Monitoring
- Monitor daily milk processing and dairy production activities.
- Ensure production processes are carried out according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor pasteurization, homogenization, chilling, CIP (Clean-in-Place), packaging, and storage operations.
- Verify production parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and processing time.
- Minimize production losses and improve process efficiency.
Quality & Food Safety
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000, and food safety regulations.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control team to maintain product quality standards.
- Investigate process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation practices throughout the production area.
Equipment & Maintenance
- Monitor the performance of dairy processing equipment.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Report equipment malfunctions and assist in troubleshooting.
- Ensure machines are operated safely and efficiently.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain production logs, process records, and technical reports.
- Record equipment performance and process deviations.
- Prepare daily production and efficiency reports.
- Maintain documentation required for internal and external audits.
Team Coordination
- Supervise production operators and technicians during shifts.
- Train production staff on SOPs, safety, hygiene, and operational practices.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a dairy or food processing plant is preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of dairy processing operations and equipment.
- Understanding of pasteurization, homogenization, refrigeration, and CIP systems.
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and production reporting.
- Ability to work in shifts and under production deadlines.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
