Key Responsibilities:
1. Bar Operations Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel’s bar(s), ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and ambiance to align with the hotel’s brand and guest expectations.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of bar areas for daily service and special events.
- Monitor all bar equipment and ensure timely maintenance or repairs.
2. Beverage Program Development
- Create, innovate, and maintain a unique and appealing beverage menu that includes classic cocktails, signature drinks, premium spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic offerings.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality products and ingredients.
- Stay up-to-date on global and local beverage trends and incorporate them into the program.
3. Staff Management & Training
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate bartenders, bar backs, and lounge servers.
- Conduct ongoing training in areas such as mixology, customer service, product knowledge, upselling, and responsible alcohol service.
- Schedule staff to ensure proper coverage during peak and off-peak hours while managing labor costs effectively.
- Foster a positive team culture focused on professionalism, respect, and excellence in service.
4. Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Engage with guests, ensuring their experience at the bar is personalized, enjoyable, and memorable.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism and a focus on resolution.
- Monitor service standards to ensure consistency and compliance with the hotel’s guest service philosophy.
5. Financial Management
- Monitor and manage bar budgets, costs, and revenue targets in alignment with overall F&B financial goals.
- Analyze sales reports, identify revenue opportunities, and implement upselling and promotional strategies.
- Control beverage cost through effective inventory management, waste control, and vendor negotiations.
6. Inventory & Purchasing
- Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing of beverages and bar supplies.
- Conduct regular stocktakes and ensure accurate inventory records are maintained.
- Ensure all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage stock levels meet forecasted demand and service requirements.
7. Safety, Compliance & Licensing
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local laws and regulations regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Enforce safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in accordance with local health and safety regulations.
- Maintain required licenses and certifications, and ensure team members are trained in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or equivalent certification).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Bartending, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of progressive experience in bar operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a luxury or high-volume setting.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe, or local equivalent) preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, cocktails, and mixology techniques.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Creative flair for beverage menu development and bar concept design.
- Proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software.
- Strong numerical and financial analysis skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Calm, composed, and professional demeanor under pressure.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
