About the Job:
We are seeking a proactive and field-oriented professional to support the implementation of tree plantation and carbon credit projects across rural and tribal communities. The role involves farmer mobilization, land identification, plantation monitoring, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and mobilize farmers for plantation and carbon projects.
- Conduct village meetings, awareness programs, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Identify eligible land parcels and collect baseline data.
- Prepare KMLs, maintain project records, and support GIS verification.
- Plan, supervise, and monitor plantation activities and maintenance.
- Conduct survival assessments and field monitoring visits.
- Recruit, train, and manage field coordinators, surveyors, and village facilitators.
- Ensure timely reporting, data accuracy, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with farmers, community leaders, nurseries, and local authorities.
Desired Skills:
- Experience: 2–8 Years
- Experience in agriculture, forestry, watershed, CSR, NGO, rural development, or carbon projects.
- Strong community mobilization and team management skills.
- Familiarity with GPS, Google Earth, KML preparation, and MS Excel.
- Willingness to travel extensively in rural areas.
Qualification:
Graduate/Postgraduate in Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Science, Rural Development, Social Work, Geography, or related disciplines.
