Telecom Circle IT Coordinator – Roles & Responsibilities
A Telecom Circle IT Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating IT infrastructure, telecom operations support, field coordination, vendor management, and service delivery activities across a telecom circle/region. The role acts as a bridge between business users, field teams, network teams, vendors, and central IT operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure Support

Coordinate day-to-day IT and telecom operations across the assigned circle.

Ensure uptime and availability of systems, networks, telecom links, and end-user devices.

Monitor LAN/WAN connectivity, VPN, routers, switches, and telecom circuits.

Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware/software.
-
Coordinate troubleshooting for network outages and telecom issues.
2. Incident & Service Management
-
Act as SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for IT-related incidents.
-
Track incidents, escalations, and service requests as per SLA.
-
Coordinate with NOC, Service Desk, and field engineers for issue resolution.
-
Ensure timely closure of tickets and provide regular status updates.
-
Maintain incident and problem management reports.
3. Vendor & Asset Management
-
Coordinate with telecom operators, ISPs, OEMs, and support vendors.
-
Track AMCs, licenses, warranty, and telecom billing activities.
-
Maintain inventory of telecom assets, SIMs, devices, routers, and IT equipment.
-
Ensure proper asset tagging and documentation.
-
Validate vendor performance against SLA commitments.
4. Field Operations Coordination

Coordinate field engineers for installation, maintenance, and fault rectification.

Ensure preventive maintenance activities are completed on time.
-
Support rollout activities for new sites, branches, or telecom infrastructure.

Monitor field activity progress and escalate delays or risks.
-
Maintain coordination between central IT teams and field operations.
5. User Support & Communication

Provide technical assistance to circle users and business stakeholders.
-
Conduct user training and awareness for IT systems and security practices.
-
Communicate planned outages, maintenance activities, and service updates.
-
Coordinate onboarding/offboarding IT activities for employees.
6. Compliance & Reporting
-
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and telecom standards.
-
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports for incidents, uptime, assets, and escalations.

Maintain documentation for audits, configurations, and operational procedures.

Support governance reviews and management reporting.
Required Skills

Knowledge of Telecom Operations, LAN/WAN, MPLS, VPN, and Network Monitoring
