About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Montessori Teacher Training Faculty to train aspiring Montessori educators through interactive classroom sessions, practical demonstrations, workshops, and teaching practice. The faculty member will play a key role in developing competent preschool teachers by delivering high-quality instruction aligned with IBMA's curriculum and educational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom training for Diploma and PG Diploma in Montessori Teacher Training programs.
- Teach subjects including:
- Foundation of Educational Psychology
- Child Growth & Development
- Montessori Philosophy & Principles
- Montessori Practical Life Exercises
- Sensorial Education
- Language Development
- Mathematics
- Cultural Studies
- Classroom Management
- Lesson Planning
- Early Childhood Care & Education
- Art & Craft, Music, Storytelling and Rhymes
- Child Observation and Assessment
- Conduct practical demonstrations using Montessori materials.
- Guide students in preparing teaching aids, activity plans, lesson plans and portfolios.
- Evaluate assignments, practical sessions, projects and examinations.
- Supervise teaching practice and classroom observations.
- Mentor students and provide academic support throughout the course.
- Maintain attendance, academic records and assessment reports.
- Ensure classrooms and Montessori materials are properly maintained.
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct workshops, seminars and orientation sessions.
- Support admissions by participating in counselling sessions, webinars, seminars and promotional events when required.
- Maintain professional standards and uphold the values of IBMA and Britfort Academy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred) in Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology or a related field.
- Diploma/Certification in Montessori Teacher Training.
- Additional qualifications in Early Childhood Education will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Montessori Teacher or Montessori Teacher Trainer.
- Experience in teacher training institutions preferred.
- Fresh candidates with exceptional Montessori knowledge and presentation skills may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Excellent classroom teaching and presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of Montessori philosophy and pedagogy.
- Ability to conduct engaging practical demonstrations.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Malayalam and Hindi are an advantage).
- Strong mentoring and counselling abilities.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint and online teaching tools.
- Creativity in developing teaching aids and learning materials.
