Position: Solar Technician
Role Overview
This is a full-time field-based position for Solar Technicians across Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, and Pathanamthitta districts. The selected candidates will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
The role requires hands-on technical expertise, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently at project sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation and commissioning of solar rooftop and ground-mounted PV systems
* Electrical wiring, panel mounting, inverter installation, and system integration
* Operation and maintenance (O&M) of solar power plants
* Troubleshooting and rectification of electrical and system faults
* Conduct site inspections and assist in project execution activities
* Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards
* Coordinate with project engineers and supervisors for timely completion of projects
* Prepare basic service reports and installation documentation
Eligibility
* ITI (Electrician/Wireman) / Diploma in Electrical Engineering / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
* Freshers may apply
* Candidates with prior solar industry experience will be given preference
Requirements
*Valid 2-Wheeler Driving License and ownership of a personal 2-Wheeler vehicle are mandatory.
* Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring practices
* Solar installation and maintenance experience preferred
* Ability to work at project sites and travel across Kerala
* Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Willingness to work in a professional and safety-focused environment
