- Microbial testing: Perform routine tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to detect bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
- Sterility assurance: Conduct sterility and endotoxin tests to confirm products are free from harmful microorganisms.
- Environmental monitoring: Assess cleanrooms, labs, and manufacturing areas for microbial contamination.
- Method development: Create and validate new microbiological test methods for accuracy and reliability.
- Data analysis: Interpret test results, identify contamination sources, and recommend corrective actions.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of procedures, results, and deviations for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Collaboration: Work with chemists, biologists, and quality assurance teams to support product development and safety.
- Training: Guide junior scientists and technicians in microbiological techniques and compliance standards.
